01Italian Roots
Dom Vetro, Italian for “House of Glass”, was birthed when our founder and designer, Ashley Bezamat, unintentionally embarked on a ten year journey into life, Italy, and the art of handcrafted eyewear. Through traveling across Europe, he happened upon a small eyewear factory in the hills of Veneto, Italy where artisan eyewear makers crafted a frame especially for him. Drawn into their work, he engaged in an apprenticeship with the artisans, who shared with him the centuries old craft of handcrafted eyewear. Ashley wanted to share the incredible experience of having a pair of glasses specially created for you back to friends and family in the USA, and take that personal approach to the states. So Dom Vetro was born: centuries old Italian roots, with the modern flair of masterful American craftsmanship. A sophisticated take on tradition.
02 Handcrafted in USA
Our eyewear is crafted locally in our Los Angeles factory, the only American eyewear company to craft made-to-order eyewear. Our artisans begin with authentic Italian acetate. Each frame is cut, sanded, tumbled, and polished before being finished with hardware and lenses, and then engraved with your personalization.
03 Substainably Produced
Dom Vetro eyewear is sourced locally and produced sustainability with eco-conscious materials such as biodegradable, plant-based italian acetate. Our mineral glass lenses are sourced locally and completely recyclable, reducing our carbon footprint form a standard plastic lens. Each frame is consciously crafted with care, using materials and processes that are far more sustainable than that of the common practice. Dom Vetro is shaping the future of our industry, creating a new standard for sustainability.
